About the Position: Serve as an Administrative Management Specialist (AMS) for the Army Criminal Investigation Division; with responsibility for oversight and direction of administrative and technical functions that support the operational and investigative mission of the assigned office within his/her purview. Position located in Quantico, VA.
Duties
Assist in the origination, development, formulation, and execution of policies as they pertain to the administrative functions, and day-to-day operations of the office.
Coordinate and direct the administrative support operations of each office, to include office personnel located at various locations throughout the country.
Develop and manage operating budget and perform backup duties for other supported personnel.
Evaluate the impact of new or revised policies, procedures, or specific legal, budget, supply, or other requirements on the administrative management functions.
Plan, analyze, and evaluate assignments, arranging for oversight and coordination of projects.
Serve as the coordinator for and provides sustainment of the Defense Travel System (DTS) for CID personnel.
Serve as training coordinator for each office.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance.
- One year trial/probationary period may be required.
- This position is a Testing Designated Position subject to applicant testing and random drug testing. Selectees will be required to sign DA Form 5019 requiring participation in random drug urinalysis testing.
- You may be expected to travel up to 10% for this position.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes developing administrative policies and procedures for assigned areas of responsibility; assisting with budget formulation, justification and execution; and conducting analysis to evaluate administrative or personnel matters. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12).
