About the Position: Security Forces Assistance Command (SFAC) staff-level Knowledge Management Officer. Located at Fort Liberty, NC, a culturally diverse area with rural and city populations, co-located at Fayetteville, NC centrally located in the beautiful state of North Carolina, which enjoys a temperate year-round climate and world-renowned colleges and universities. Fayetteville is centrally located between the beautiful beaches of NC and the scenic Blue Ridge and Smoky Mountains.

Duties

Implements pilot projects using Knowledge Management tools and techniques and serves as the Portal Content Manager and Editor of the portal. Defines and establishes Knowledge Management tasks. Develops guidance and policy on processes to institutionalize practices Knowledge Management within SFAC staff, as well as supported SFA communities. Serves as a liaison with other agencies and industry to facilitate the leverage of world-class knowledge practices. Develop a migration plan for content to support and promote knowledge management.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment.
  • This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 10% of the time.
