Duties
Serve as a Defense Travel System (DTS) Administrator.
Conduct formal and individual training to Defense Travel System users.
Perform budget formulation and administrative work involving preparation and review of annual funding needs.
Ability to perform budget administration functions in the execution of annual appropriated budgets.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment.
- This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 10%.
- Appointment to this position is subject to a one-year probationary period unless the appointee has previously met the requirements as described in 5 CFR Part 315.
- Incumbent is required to complete FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT Level 2 Certified position designated as such in accordance with the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) 2012.

Specialized Experience: Have one-year specialized experience which includes experience in 1) Utilizing automated financial systems (such as the Defense Travel System) to input and extract data and generate reports; 2) Preparing written and oral presentations; 3) Applying budget execution procedures and techniques for budget formulation, execution and justification. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-07).
