You will serve as a MANAGEMENT AND PROGRAM SPECIALIST in the Enlisted Operations of USMC RECRUITING COMMAND.

Duties

You will maintain direct oversight of the execution of Command Level waivers and criteria overrides for Program assignment. You will maintain direct oversight of the execution of the incentive program allocations and attainment (skill enlistment option programs (EOP) and enlistment bonus programs (EBP). You will support/coordinate quarterly reviews and appraisals of subordinate section member for proficiency and conduct marks for criteria waiver process on initial enlisted accession procurement. You will contribute input, information and recommendations to initial accession pipeline as action officer stakeholder to the street to fleet (STF) operational planning team. You will use Defense Travel system (DTS) to process enlisted operations personnel travel requests.

Requirements

  • Must be determined suitable for federal employment.

  • Within the Department of Defense (DoD), the appointment of retired military members within 180 days immediately following retirement date to a civilian position is subject to the provisions of 5 United States Code 3326.
  • Males born after 12-31-59 must be registered for Selective Service.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: providing support, oversight, and coordination for all enlisted incentive programs; AND coordinates, manages, and publishes changes to business rules regarding enlistment incentives. Education

In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:

Master's or equivalent graduate degree

OR

2 full years of progressively higher graduate level education leading to a master's degree

OR
