About the Position: The position is a Training Support Assistant in the Office of the Deputy Commandant, Department of Leadership Training, Captains Career Course (CCC), US Army Medical Center of Excellence (MEDCoE), Fort Sam Houston, Texas.
Duties
Responsible for processing course creations for each class including student information, assigns students to small groups within the class, and ensures data entry and validation of academic rater reviewing official.
Assistant using authorized formats, correct spelling, grammar and punctuation prepares a variety of official and non-official correspondence and forms in support of the training course and the students.
Performs a variety of basic administrative tasks and student support functions in support of the MEDCoE Captains Career Course training mission.

In order to qualify, you must meet the education and/or experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Specialized Experience: one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-04 grade level in the Federal service which includes experience in office management to provide guidance and direction; performs a variety of administrative and support type duties in such areas as personnel management, technical reporting, training, procurement, and files management; maintains an in-depth knowledge of the Army regulations to include governing regulations to successfully communicate requirements and process all projects; manages routine matters based on knowledge of program activities, procedures, and requirements. Prepare, review, and edit documents such as correspondences, reports, briefing, and informational materials.

Education: Four years of education above the high school level obtained in an accredited business, secretarial or technical school, junior college, college or university.
OR
Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide your semester hours of education beyond two years (total semester hours minus 60) by 60. Add the two percentages.
The skill and ability of a qualified typist is required.
