About the Position: This position is located at the 1st Engineer Brigade, Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri. Ft Leonard Wood is located in the beautiful South-Central Missouri Ozarks. The Fort covers more than 61,000 acres and is located in Pulaski County. Bordering the installation to the North are the towns of Waynesville/St. Robert and Interstate 44. St. Louis is a 2 hour drive to the East along I-44 and Springfield is a little more than an hour's drive to the West of Fort Leonard Wood.
Duties
Instruct student application during practical exercises on equipment.
Evaluate student progress and gives special or remedial attention when appropriate.
Train assigned instructors as needed to achieve prescribed standards.
Ensure compliance with approved lesson plans, training schedules, safety practices, and established policies.
Interview candidates for subordinate positions.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Incumbent is subject to a medical clearance examination prior to employment. This position may require an annual physical or medical surveillance examination.
- This position requires wear of uniform and/or protective gear.

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: I have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-09 grade level in the Federal service that demonstrates a practical knowledge of the subject area of the position and of the methods and techniques of instruction; developing or reviewing training/course materials, aids, devices, etc. for compliance with lesson plans, schedules, policies and procedures; evaluating training results and managing proper maintenance and accountability of equipment.

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-09). All applicants must meet applicable time-in-grade and specialized experience requirements within thirty (30) days after the closing date of the announcement.
