About the Position: Serve as the Operations Specialist in the Business Operations Directorate of the Department of the Army Criminal Investigation Command (DACID). Position located in Quantico, VA.
Duties
Monitor and coordinate the day-to-day operations and programs directly with HQs, Department of the Army Criminal Investigation Command (DACID) directorates and staff, Field Offices, and other organizations worldwide.
Assess, coordinate, and synchronize current operations and programs for the Assistant Director (AD) Business Operations.
Establish criteria, formulate reporting requirements, assess operational effectiveness, and/or investigate or analyze various unusual conditions, problems, or issues across DACID missions and programs to answer critical information requirements.
Oversee the staff formulation and tasking functions supporting the AD and Director’s operations process.
Regularly brief the AD and DACID Senior Leaders on the progress and status of special projects and events as appropriate.
Attend meetings involving the subject area to update or obtain information for the AD and Deputy Assistant Director (DAD).
Translate the results of meetings, briefings, and exercises into changes to the various programs for a more effective integrated operations program.
Prepare and participate in Headquarters Department of the Army (HQDA) conferences, pre-planning, tests and evaluations, critiques, and after-action reports for the AD Business Operations and DACID Senior Leaders.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
- One year trial/probationary period may be required.
- You may be expected to travel up to 10% for this position.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes assisting in the coordination of staff actions; preparing briefings for senior leaders; and conducting complex operational analysis. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12).
