You will serve as a HUMAN RESOURCES ASSISTANT (MILITARY/OA) in the Installation Personnel Administration Center (IPAC) on MARINE CORPS BASE QUANTICO.
Duties
You will perform personnel administrative duties utilizing manual and automated information systems.
You will prepare documents, maintain personnel records, track, audit and retrieve pay and personnel information in support of military Human Resource programs and functions.
You will provide personnel administrative support by preparing documentation for separation/retirement, transfer, permanent change of station travel claim settlements, and pay related documents.
You will utilize various computer programs to process data necessary to support mission requirements which may include, typing of documents for the service record, unit diary preparation, reports, populating forms, and operating instructions.
You will perform general administration duties such as updating daily strength reports, processing personnel action requests, monitoring official mailboxes, monitoring reports for temporary additional duty travel.
Requirements

- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.
- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
Qualifications
GS-05: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-04 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: performing various clerical and administrative duties associated with general personnel administration (e.g. records maintenance, separations and retirements, Permanent Change of Station and Permanent Change of assignment orders processing, legal, deployed/travel entitlements, travel vouchers settlement, promotions).
GS-04: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-03 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: performing various clerical and administrative duties (e.g. records maintenance, filing, correspondence)

Education
In lieu of general/specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:
GS-05:
Four years of education above high school level
OR
Combination of experience and education as described above that equates to one year of experience. The percentage of the required education plus the percentage of the required experience equal one hundred percent.
GS-04:
Two full academic years of education above high school.
OR
Combination of experience and education as described above that equates to one year of experience. The percentage of the required education plus the percentage of the required experience equal one hundred percent.
