You will serve as a SUPERVISORY FIRE PROTECTION SPECIALIST in the Security Battalion of MARINE CORPS BASE QUANTICO.

Duties

You will develop, produce, organize, and schedule complete instructional and training programs, including audio-visual aids, for basic and specialized subjects. You will establish, supervise, and/or conduct advanced and specialized courses for the Fire Prevention, Fire Protection, Fire Suppression, and other related topics. You will administer both structured and unstructured classes and materials in all phases of firefighting, fire prevention, safety and other related subjects. You will evaluate and establish training needs for Fire Prevention and communication personnel. You will compile appropriate budgetary data relative to training; compile and submit requests for funding in normal budget as well as special funding.

• You will be required to possess a current Incident Safety Officer certification.
• Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: directing administrative, financial management, and/or complex technical Fire ground operations to carry out the workforce mission of a Fire programs; and providing assistance, advice, and recommendations concerning fire protection matters to organizational leadership.
