You will serve as a SUPERVISORY FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT ANALYST in the CHIEF OF STAFF and EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR, FLEET COMPTROLLER DEPARTMENT of OPERATIONAL SUPPORT FACILITY.
Duties
You will advise and direct financial management operations of an OPTAR (operating target) holder.
You will apply financial principles, practices, laws, policy, and regulations to the execution of current and prior year funding.
You will maintain funds control, update, and establish fiscal policy, to align with local policy, Dept of Navy, and Dept of Defense regulations, instructions, and guidance.
You will ensure key supporting documentation is maintained and available for audit sampling and audit readiness.
You will monitor and oversee all financial metrics, to ensure error and suspense items are cleared in the accounting system in a timely basis.
You will coordinate all accounting table updates to ensure financial data is accurately reported in financial systems.
You will prepare budget exhibits and respond to data calls within prescribed deadlines.

- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
- You will be required to wear personal protective equipment such as helmets, gloves, coveralls, glasses, goggles, respirators and safety shoes continuously for the duration of the work shift.
- Work is performed in areas where potentially harmful physical and chemical agents are present (e.g. fumes, dust, heat, ionizing and non-ionizing radiation and chemicals). You will be required to participate in medical surveillance programs.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics. You will be required to review the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct at 5 CFR 2635.101.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector analyzing and evaluating financial data and transactions to identify and recommend adjustments or improvements in financial or budgetary programs.
