You will serve as a SUPERVISORY LOGISTICS MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST in the PROGRAM EXECUTIVE OFFICE (PEO USC) of PEO UNMANNED AND SMALL COMBATANTS.
This position is part of the Department of Defense Civilian Acquisition Workforce Personnel Demonstration Project. The NH-4 broadband level encompasses positions equivalent to GS-14 and GS-15.
Duties
You will work closely with ship Sustainment and Modernization Program Office (SEA21) and interface with personnel to ensure Fleet in-service requirements are achieved.
You will apply mathematical techniques to optimize sustaining support of ship platforms to ensure operational availability.
You will help coordinate projects tied to increased reliability, maintainability, or availability.
You will ensure that new construction and PRE-OWLD ships are being properly logistically supported.
You will coordinate acquisition product support management with government and industry stakeholders to enable successful ship transfer into the in-service phase.
You will assist in coordinating Crew Move Aboard and test and trial activities, ensuring equipment, personnel, and facilities are properly prepared, trained, and staffed.
You will lead Logistics Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) to address timely updates to Integrated Logistical Support (ILS) products to improve reliability issues.
You will support the Littoral Combat Ship (LCS) program in the Navy-wide transition to the Model Based Product Support (MBPS) database.
You will manage comprehensive product support programs for the acquisition and/or Life Cycle Sustainment Management of integrated product support functions as the senior logistic authority.
You will provide oversight and direction to ensure all program requirements have proper product support for relevant system, system-of-systems, and product development and execution have support throughout their life cycle.
You will establish and maintain liaison with all activities, organizations and commands directly involved with the introduction, maintenance, and support of systems, to include fleet, squadron, and ship-level stakeholders.

- This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). Certification in the Acquisition Functional Area and category assigned to the position is required within established category timeframes.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics. You will be required to review the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct at 5 CFR 2635.101.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower pay band, NH-03 (GS-13) or grade level in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector leading logistics management functions in support of procurement activities for ship or craft programs, equipment or related components.
