You will serve as a SUPERVISORY LOGISTICS MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST in the TECHNICAL DIVISION, LOGISTICS SUPPORT COORDINATION BRANCH of STRATEGIC SYSTEMS PROGRAMS.
Duties
You will develop and draft SWS/AWS material support policies, especially in the areas of SSBN/SSGN and SWS/AWS maintenance support, supply, configuration accounting and logistics technical data.
You will develop and draft support requirements plans for provisioning, development, and maintenance of Logistics Technical Data,
development of allowance documents.
You will develop and draft support requirements for specific material support programs /initiatives, SSP specific program procedural and resource requirements, and similar material management functions.
You will serve as the technical authority for supply and logistics support as applied to the specialized requirements of advanced weapons systems and provides advice and guidance to both government and contractor managers.
You will recommend and take corrective actions in coordination with the Branch Deputy to correct the cause of the deficiency when material support deficiencies occur.
You will be responsible for employee time and attendance approval/certification, leave approval, counseling, performance management and recognition, and preparing performance appraisals.
You will be responsible for establishing performance standards and evaluating performance, recommending appropriate personnel changes, evaluating candidates for hire, hearing employee grievances and complaints, and counseling employees.
You will be responsible for initiating disciplinary actions, preparing performance appraisals, recommending performance awards, and recommending and administering training for employees.
You will review Navy material support policies and programs in order to propose and recommend the Program Manager' s position and response.

- This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). Certification in the Acquisition Functional Area and category assigned to the position is required within established category timeframes.
- This position is a designated Critical Acquisition Position (CAP). You must sign a three-year tenure agreement prior to assuming the position unless a tenure waiver is approved.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- You will be required to complete ethics orientation within three months of appointment and submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, OGE-450, within 30 days of appointment.
- Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics. You will be required to review the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct at 5 CFR 2635.101.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NH-03 pay band or GS-13 grade level in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: providing direction and guidance for integration and improvement projects of logistics and supply support programs across multiple functional areas, (financial planning, contracts, Budgets and IT systems) in support of weapons systems.
