You will serve as a TRAINING COORDINATOR in the PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT of NAVFAC NORTHWEST.
Duties
You will resolve issues or problems concerning training needs and availability.
You will schedule all classes and request approval or payment, coordinate all matters associated with training to include certifications for professional, technical and/or safety requirements, and trade specific certifications.
You will collect, input and analyze Individual Development Plans (IDPs) and compile reports of requested classes and assist with determining which classes can be brought in-house to reduce costs.
You will contact vendors to gather course information, obtain pricing, and class schedules to assist supervisors in the development of the training requests for their employees.
You will act as the primary communicator with the Public Works Business Line in regard to all Community Management training matters that require coordination, execution, and reporting.
You will inform employees about available training opportunities and assist employees with creating Individual Developments Plans (IDP) in a training management system.
Requirements

- You will be required to obtain and maintain a current valid United States driver’s license.
- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
- You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
Qualifications
GS-09:
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Utilizing Microsoft office products; 2) Using specialty databases like Enterprise Safety Applications Management System (ESAMS) and Defense Travel Systems (DTS); 3) Managing medical qualification programs; 4) Demonstrating skill in oral and written communication.
GS-07:
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-05 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Utilizing Microsoft office products; 2) Using and learning to use specialty databases like using Enterprise Safety Applications Management System (ESAMS) and Defense Travel Systems (DTS); 3) Booking, tracking, and communicating medical appointments to employees; and 4) Gathering information from various sources to analyze/update databases and spreadsheets used to create various reports and/or documents.

Education
In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:
GS-09:
A master's or equivalent graduate degree;
or
2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree;
or
LL.B. or J.D., if related;
or
A combination of experience and graduate education as described above that equates to one year of experience. The percentage of the required education plus the percentage of the required experience must equal one hundred percent.
GS-07:
1 full year of graduate level education;
or
superior academic achievement;
or
A combination of experience and graduate education as described above that equates to one year of experience. The percentage of the required education plus the percentage of the required experience must equal one hundred percent.
