About the Position: This position is with the HQDA, Army Public Affairs, Army Multimedia and Visual Information Division (AMVID), Army Graphics Division.
Duties
Plans overall work operations, sets priorities, and tracks metrics Makes decisions on work problems presented by subordinates within work unit.
Directs visual information quality control.
Develops and advises on operational performance and capabilities of visual information equipment and resources to meet new and unusual situations.
Maintains awareness of latest developments in visual information equipment and procedures.
Recommends proposals to clients to assure optimum results while considering the most economical cost methods and highest degree of technical and professional quality available.
Attends meetings and briefings with senior-level military and civilian clients for visual information matters.
Makes recommendations as division subject matter expert regarding visual information documentation and graphic design projects of unusual scope and operational complexity.
Evaluates the performance of subordinates within the branch.
Hears group grievances and employee complaints.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- One-year supervisory probationary period may be required. A one-year probationary period is required if the selectee has not previously met this requirement.
- You may be expected to travel up to 10% for this position.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.

Specialized Experience One year of specialized experience which includes: utilizing visual information techniques, products, and methodologies to support mission requirements within an organization; developing visual information equipment systems to meet organizational needs; and advising employees on work and administrative matters. This specialized experience is equivalent to the GS-12 grade level in the Federal service.
Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted.
