About the Position: Serves as a Branch Chief as a supervisor in the Army Photo/Graphics Division, performing a full range of supervisory and managerial functions to include graphic art production, visual information design, augmented reality and Artificial Intelligence (AI) design, web design, printing, 3D development, motion graphics, studio photography, visual information documentation of historic events, and the accessioning and archival of all VI holdings. Located in Arlington, VA.
Duties
Make decisions on work problems presented by subordinates within work unit.
Provide input to final policy changes as they relate to Army and DoD visual information policy and procedures.
Analyze requirements for audiovisual equipment in order to efficiently support assigned mission.
Evaluate the effectiveness of operations supervised in terms of mission accomplishment.
Provide subject matter expertise in the application of new technology keeping staff apprised of trends and of advantages and limitations of various formats, styles, media and methods of production on the final graphics products.

Specialized Experience:
One year of specialized experience which includes planning and managing visual information operations; directing visual information quality control; evaluating the performance of employees within the organization; advising senior-level military and civilian clients on visual information projects; and researching the latest developments of visual information equipment and procedures. This specialized experience is equivalent to the GS-12 grade level in the Federal service.

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-12).
Education
Some positions in the federal service allow substitution of education for experience. For this position, you must qualify on experience alone. There is no substitution of education for experience.
