You will serve as a OPERATIONS SPECIALIST in the Future Operations (FOPS) Assessment and Analysis
Department of the Operations Directorate (S-3/5) of MARINE CORPS BASE HAWAII.
Duties
You will support the Strategic Plans Officer and the implementation of the Base Strategic Plan (Lines of Effort, WAYS and Means) through Continuous Process Improvement methodologies.
You will serve as the Continuous Process Improvement (CPI) Program Manager responsible for all business process reengineering and Lean Six Sigma (LSS) initiatives and related training/facilitation.
You will be responsible for Continuous Process Improvement Program training and administration.
You will coordinate with key staff on planning and execution of on Committee meetings when directed.
You will leads management advisory studies by planning the study, coordinating work with senior leaders in various Directorates, departments or branches, manages team efforts, coordinates recommendations, and assists in implementation.
You will complete and meet requirements for schedules, milestones, budgets, training plans, communication plans, and risk assessment/constraints.
You will be responsible as Future Operations for the planning and coordination of exercises and events, including scheduling, identification of logistics and resource support, and identification and mitigation of event conflicts.

- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.
- This is a bargaining unit position.
- This position is eligible for part time, substantial or ad-hoc telework at the discretion of management.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Provide analysis, planning, and redesigning process improvements for operational programs (eg. events, exercises, training, deployments); determine impacts and solutions on initiatives that impact an installations organization; coordinate resource allocations to meet all levels of organizational management; and create briefings that defend or propose changes in business or corporate activities to be presented by senior leaders.
