About the Position: Responsible for the direct management and oversight of the US Army Reserve (USAR), Active Guard Reserve (AGR), Individual Mobilization Augmentee (IMA), and Recruit-the-Recruiter Accessions Teams which encompass the professional development, training, and accountability of approximately 14 Civilian and Military personnel. Advertises, recruits, coordinates, and processes Soldiers and their families into the USAR, AGR, IMA, and Recruit-the-Recruiter programs.
Duties
Provide technical advice and guidance regarding a wide variety of USAR Military HR Programs that include personnel readiness, retention, awards, records management, personnel actions, and other military HR management programs.
Keep higher level organizations aware of system problems and operations and recommends changes to operating instructions relative to system operations.
Present technical information concerning computational methodologies for personnel requirements, fill through accessions, and other related information.
Exercise complete authority to plan, guide, and direct overall actions to meet goals, objectives, and priorities IAW established military Human Resources policies, rules, laws, and regulations.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.

- This position requires a one year supervisory probationary period.

Specialized experience is defined as one year specialized experience equivalent to the GS-09 grade level in the Federal service which includes advises civilians, Soldiers, and superiors on matters pertaining to laws, regulations, policies and procedures to assist in accessions program management for Reserve Officer and Soldiers; identifies trends, deficiencies, or accomplishments related to Accessions overall Mission requirements; executes administrative or personnel management functions to accomplish the assigned mission. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-09).

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-09).
Education
