You will serve as a Management Analyst in the Marine Forces Reserve/Marine Forces South Civilian Manpower Office of MARFORRES NOLA.

Duties

You will serve as a point of contact for management status reporting requirements, administering the in and out-processing of civilian personnel, and serve as a liaison to the Human Resources Office. You will create Requests for Personnel Action (RPA) for recruitments and attach all required information in order to forward for processing. You will support the Performance Award Review Board (PARB) by providing leadership any information necessary to complete. You will assist in the development of short and long-range staffing plans in order to forecast civilian personnel mission requirements.

Requirements

  • Must be a US Citizen.
  • Must be determined suitable for federal employment.
  • Must participate in the direct deposit pay program.

  • Generally, current federal employees applying for GS jobs must serve at least one year at the next lower grade level. This requirement is called time-in-grade. Time-in-grade requirements must be met by the closing date of this announcement.
  • Within the Department of Defense (DoD), the appointment of retired military members within 180 days immediately following retirement date to a civilian position is subject to the provisions of 5 United States Code 3326.
  • Males born after 12-31-59 must be registered for Selective Service.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time
  • You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.

Qualifications

To qualify for the GS-11 paygrade, your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-9 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Managing civilian manpower areas, to include training, budget, workforce shaping, manpower, travel, and on-boarding by utilizing variety of federal data systems To qualify for the GS-9 paygrade, your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-7 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Education

In lieu of specialized experience listed in the Qualifications section, applicants may qualify based on education OR equivalent combination of experience and education, as follows:

GS-11:
Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree

or

3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree

or

LL.M., if related

GS-9:
master's or equivalent graduate degree

or

2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree

or

LL.B. or J.D., if related

NOTE: Equivalent combinations of education and experience are qualifying for all grade levels for which both education and experience are acceptable.
