Duties
This position is located within the Office of
Inspections and Policy (OIP), Assistant Chief of Police for Standards and
Training Operations, USCP. Provides a
broad range of high-level administrative and project support functions,
including advising, managing communications, coordinating, and tracking
projects for the various Divisions in the OIP. The incumbent oversees the
administrative processes, analyzes the internal office workflow, and
establishes procedures to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of
operations. Assists the Director with formulating project plans and providing
program management expertise regarding all aspects of administrative functions
throughout the OIP. Manages, coordinates, oversees, and tracks the work,
consulting with the Director on work priorities, inspection, audit, and project
schedule requirements. Tracks assignment/program milestones or deadlines and
coordinates follow-up with Division Associate Directors to ensure work is
completed within the established deadlines. Works independently with a high
degree of tact and diplomacy to carry out special assignments requiring a
comprehensive knowledge of OIP's mission.
Qualifications
In order to qualify, you must meet the education and/or experience requirements described below.For the CP-10 level you must have one year (52 weeks)
of specialized experience equivalent to at least the CP-09/GS-11 level that is
in or directly related to the line of work of the position to be filled.
Specialized experience is defined as experience that includes 1) experience
providing support to executives; 2) providing expert guidance and assistance in
the management of complex projects, tasks, and action items; 3) serving as the
Financial Liaison Officer, coordinating office plans and needs in developing
the annual budget; and 4) purchasing supplies, equipment, and services within
