You will serve as a SUPERVISORY QUALITY ASSURANCE SPECIALIST (METROLOGY) in the Metrology Management Division, Technical Department of STRATEGIC WEAPONS FACILITY PACIFIC.
This position is part of the Department of Defense Civilian Acquisition Workforce Personnel Demonstration Project. The NH-3 broadband level encompasses positions equivalent to GS-12 and GS-13.
Duties
You will assign work to match personnel capabilities and qualifications with project scope, completion timeframe, general requirements, budgetary and technical constraints, policies, and project goals.
You will monitor work progress to identify adherence to schedule issues, adherence to technical requirements, and compliance with policy.
You will develop and champion innovative ideas to improve the organization and create an environment that fosters innovation.
You will manage the performance and productivity of employees through clear and specific job objectives and expectations, constructive feedback, timely and appropriate rewards and recognition, and accurate performance evaluations.
You will develop and direct a formal, multi-faceted quality assurance program to evaluate the calibration services and products provided by laboratory contractor operations within a multi-million dollar calibration program.
You will ensure that quality services are provided to all laboratory customers in a timely manner and as delineated by current contract, directing and improving work-flow management as necessary.
You will provide technical direction for planning, budgeting, documenting and executing operations necessary to sustain an effective SWFPAC metrology program.
You will serve as the senior metrology expert providing technical consultation to senior management executives at SSP headquarters, conducting special studies and analysis, making recommendations on their behalf.
You will review and approve procurement of major test, measurement, and diagnostic equipment .
You will manage the TRIDENT Exchange Pool.

- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics. You will be required to review the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct at 5 CFR 2635.101.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NH-2 pay band or GS-11 grade level in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: planning and executing quality audits or surveillances of calibration or metrology operations; analyzing quality data and developing strategies to avert or mitigate product defects or unsatisfactory trends; and monitoring adherence to quality plans and requirements for test, measurement, and diagnostic equipment and systems.
