Duties

Identify solutions to mitigate emerging threats to operations and maintain comprehensive visibility of Signature Reduction/Low Visibility (SR/LV) and Operations Security (OPSEC) trends. Maintain relationships with external organizations (government, civil and academic) supporting the Signature Reduction/Low Visibility (SR/LV) program to ensure fulfillment of administrative requirements. Utilize knowledge of organization’s security, medical, personnel, finance and travel systems to identify Counterintelligence/Operations Security (OPSEC) concerns.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Top-Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment.
  • This position requires the completion of a pre-employment Physical Examination.
  • This position is subject to a pre-employment drug screening, and random testing thereafter, to include testing based on reasonable suspicion and testing due to direct involvement with an on-duty accident.
  • Appointment to this position is subject to a one-year probationary period unless the appointee has previously met the requirements as described in 5 CFR Part 315.
  • This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 35% of the time.
  • This position has a requirement to lift up to 35 lbs. in the regular performance of duties.
  • This position is subject to psychological testing.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes 1) Applying knowledge of Doctrine, Organization, Training, Material, Leadership, Personnel and Facilities to plan and execute Signature Reduction/Low Visibility (SR/LV) program development and operational support; 2) Applying knowledge of organizational office information systems sufficient to maintain, oversee, and further develop support administrative databases and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) impacting a Signature Reduction/Low Visibility (SR/LV) program; and 3) Applying analytical and evaluative methods sufficient to identify and solve programmatic issues regarding effectiveness and/or efficiency of Signature Reduction/Low Visibility (SR/LV) programs. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11). Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted.
