You will serve as a Administrative Assistant (OA) in the Naval Education and Training Command of NSTC GREAT LAKES.
Duties
You will maintain forms, documents, records and files.
You will utilize computer hardware and software systems to compose or type a variety of naval and business letters, memoranda, directives, statistical and narrative reports.
You will produce recurring reports utilizing Microsoft Office software.
You will research databases and websites for information, messages, instructions, and publication for updates of administrative related documents.
You will provide customer service to include greeting staff personnel and visitors, answering telephones, taking messages, responding to routine requests, refer calls and visitors to proper staff members.
You will maintain scheduling and arranging appointments, meetings. and other commitments.
Requirements

- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
- This position requires the ability to type at least 40 words per minute. Your response to the typing skill question on the Occupational Questionnaire will be used in your qualification determination.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-05 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Administer a variety of PC and web-based software programs including word processing, graphics, spreadsheets, email, and database programs; 2) Skill in researching files to find, gather, organize, and report on collected information; 3) Flex in shifting assignments to meet priorities; 4) General requirements needed for handling classified and sensitive materials; and 5) Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing to share information, correspondence, and reports summarizing issues and/or to provide administrative support.
