The position is located the Great Plains Youth Regional Treatment Center (YRTC) near Mobridge, SD. This is a leadership position. The purpose of the position is to serve as Supervisory Behavioral Health Specialist (Clinical Director) to supervise,and deliver quality behavior health services and care to youth with substance use/chemical dependency/co-occurring problems.
Duties
Consults & provides input on program content, training, quality assurance of YRTC
Manages crisis management and oversees the clinical team as the Clinical Director
Advises YRTC Program Director and other management on policies, procedures and daily therapeutic activities
Provides supervision to clinical team and group/individual coverage
Qualifications

Basic Requirements
Degree: behavioral or social science; or related disciplines appropriate to the position.
OR
Combination of education and experience that provided the applicant with knowledge of one or more of the behavioral or social sciences equivalent to a major in the field.
OR
Four years of appropriate experience that demonstrated that the applicant has acquired knowledge of one or more of the behavioral or social sciences equivalent to a major in the field.
In addition to the Basic Requirements, you must also meet the Minimum Qualifications stated below.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Your resume must demonstrate at least one (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level in the Federal service obtained in either the private or public sector performing the following type of work and/or tasks:
GS-12: 1 year of specialized experience that equipped me with the particular knowledge, skills and abilities to successfully perform the duties of this position. This experience is related to the work of the position and equivalent to at least the GS-11 level in the Federal service as described in the vacancy announcement. Examples Include: Experience providing administrative supervision for behavioral health staff to ensure compliance with accrediting bodies; responsible for the coordination of a comprehensive mental health program, providing evidenced based treatment to individuals, couples, and families; providing leadership in the development of policies and procedures.
SELECTIVE PLACEMENT FACTOR
Must possess a Licensed Professional Counselor-Mental Health (LPC-MH) or equivalent licensure (If "Yes" please provide a copy of these licenses and certifications during the online application process.)
Time In Grade
Federal employees in the competitive service are also subject to the Time-In-Grade Requirements: Merit Promotion (status) candidates must have completed one year of service at the next lower grade level. Time-In-Grade provisions do not apply under the Excepted Service Examining Plan (ESEP).
