About the Position: Serves as program analyst and is recognized as having extensive knowledge of the mission, functions, interrelationships, operating processes and force structure procedures internal to the AAW P&A Division and USAASC.
Duties
Retrieves large amounts of career management and workforce data from various sources.
Uses relational database concepts, star schema, class and object source data, tables, joins, dimensions, and measures (sum, count, average, maximum, minimum) to mine data, build reports and develop various dashboards.
Uses visualization software (e.g. Power BI and Tableau) to visualize data in a clear, concise and actionable manner.
Prepares ad hoc reports and analysis.
Designs and maintains related key performance indicators.
Develops the most efficient and effective automated approaches for presenting operational data and graphics required to satisfy various requirements.
Uses systematic approaches to problem solving, recommending alternative courses of actions and implementation of innovative approaches to data mining and analysis.
Identify problems and develop innovative solutions.
Gather, analyze, and present facts.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- One year trial/probationary period may be required.
- This is an Army Acquisition, Logistics and Technology Workforce position. Selectee must meet position requirements for (Practitioner) Certification within 60 months of entrance on duty.

I have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11/(NH-02) level in the Federal service which includes:
1) Retrieving large amounts of data from various sources utilizing Structured Query Language (SQL), Systems Applications Products (SAP) and using relational database concepts to mine data, build reports and develop various dashboards.
2) Using visualization software (e.g. Power BI and Tableau) to visualize data in a clear, concise and actionable manner. Capturing, integrating, organizing, visualizing and analyzing data using a variety of analysis software, data mining methods and statistical concepts.
3) Interfacing with leaders to understand and define crucial data requirements.
4) Developing standardized reporting formats for uniformity for regular and recurring reports, as well as a centralized storage source for maintaining historical data.
This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (NH-02 or GS-11).
