The primary purpose of this position is to provide responsive cyberspace capabilities for the organization and the Warfighter. Superior Cyberspace Support. Serves in the Wing Cybersecurity Office. Performs site assessments to protect critical National Security Information and assets.
Duties
Administers the Cybersecurity Program. Implements and directs cybersecurity policies and procedures to ensure protection of information transmitted to the installation, among organizations on the installation, and from the installation using Local Area Networks (LAN), Wide Area Networks (WAN), the World Wide Web, and other communications modes.
Applies cybersecurity principles, methods and security products to protect and maintain the availability, integrity, confidentiality and accountability of information system resources and information processed throughout the system's life cycle.
Guides work center personnel in the execution of a broad range of processes and practices to meet cybersecurity requirements.

- This is a cybersecurity position within the DoD Cyberspace Workforce Framework (DCWF); the employee will be fully qualified in accordance with DoDD 8140.01, DoDI 8140.02, and DoDM 8140.03.
- Failure to obtain and maintain proper DCWF foundational qualifications may result in removal from this position.
- Subject to Temporary Duty Assignment (TDY) by military or commercial aircraft approximately 10 days per year.
- This position may require travel.
- Selectee may be required to serve a probationary or trial period.

BASIC REQUIREMENT OR INDIVIDUAL OCCUPATIONAL REQUIREMENT:
Education: All academic degrees and coursework must be from accredited or pre-accredited institutions
Undergraduate or Graduate Education: Degree in computer science, engineering, information science, information systems management, mathematics, operations research, statistics, or technology management or degree that provided a minimum of 24 semester hours in one or more of the fields identified above and required the development or adaptation of applications, systems or networks.
Experience must be IT related; the experience may be demonstrated by paid or unpaid experience and/or completion of specific, intensive training (for example, IT certification), as appropriate
GS-5 through GS-15 (or equivalent): For all positions individuals must have IT-related experience demonstrating each of the four competencies listed below. The employing agency is responsible for identifying the specific level of proficiency required for each competency at each grade level based on the requirements of the position being filled.
Attention to Detail - Is thorough when performing work and conscientious about attending to detail.
Customer Service - Works with clients and customers (that is, any individuals who use or receive the services or products that your work unit produces, including the general public, individuals who work in the agency, other agencies, or organizations outside the Government) to assess their needs, provide information or assistance, resolve their problems, or satisfy their expectations; knows about available products and services; is committed to providing quality products and services.

In addition to meeting the basic requirement above, to qualify for this position you must also meet the qualification requirements listed below:
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Applicants must have at least 1 year (52 weeks) of specialized experience at the next lower broadband NH-02, equivalent to the next lower grade GS-11 or equivalent in other pay systems. Examples of specialized experience includes providing responsive cyberspace capabilities for the organization and the Warfighter. Superior Cyberspace Support. Serving in the Wing Cybersecurity Office by administering and managing the overall Cybersecurity Program to include Emissions Security (TEMPEST), Computer Security (COMPUSEC), and Cybersecurity Awareness programs. Performing site assessments to protect critical National Security Information and assets. NOTE: Due to the use of 120-day rosters, this period of experience may be completed within 120 days of the closing date of this announcement.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas:
1. Knowledge of a full range of cybersecurity principles, concepts, practices, products and services, and methods for evaluating risk and vulnerability, implementing mitigating improvement, and disseminating cybersecurity tools and procedures.
2. Knowledge of cybersecurity requirements for Assessment and Authorization, network operations and
protocols, systems testing and evaluation, and performance management methods sufficient to plan and conduct
security assessments.
3. Knowledge of enclave cybersecurity requirements and techniques for protecting computer systems from
unauthorized users, data tampering, and malicious threats.
4. Knowledge of a broad range of telecommunications concepts and principles, operating modes, systems, media,
equipment, equipment configuration, and related software systems, processes and procedures to assess and
advise on vulnerability to attack from a variety of sources (e.g., espionage, disruption of services, destructive
programs/applications) and procedures and methods for protection of systems and applications.
5. Ability to apply findings of assessments to mitigate cybersecurity risks through the implementation of corrective actions.
6. Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
7. Ability to apply policies, principles, and cybersecurity concepts sufficient to carry out activities leading to Assessment and Authorization approval.
PART-TIME OR UNPAID EXPERIENCE: Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week.
