Duties

You will be diagnosing and resolving problems in response to customer reported incidents. You will be installing, configuring, troubleshooting, and maintaining customer hardware and software. You will be coordinating the delivery of Tech Refresh of NMCI assets (circuits, computers, services and/or peripherals). You will maintain detailed reports of current status of funds allocated and spent utilizing software tools. You will monitor, evaluate and coordinate assigned functions.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) coordinating the delivery of technical refresh services to update IT assets; 2) troubleshooting and diagnosing computer hardware and software problems to resolve customer reported incidents; 3) formulating and monitoring budgets to support IT plans, programs and activities; and 4) providing technical assistance to customers to minimize disruptions of computer operations. Your experience must reflect skill in the following areas: attention to detail, customer service, oral communication, and problem solving. Education

Substitution of education for experience:

Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree from an accredited or pre-accredited institution in computer science, engineering, information science, information systems management, mathematics, operations research, statistics, or technology management.
OR
Have successfully completed 3 full years (54 hours) of progressively higher graduate level education leading to a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree from an accredited or pre-accredited institution in computer science, engineering, information science, information systems management, mathematics, operations research, statistics, or technology management; or, graduate education that provided a minimum of 24 semester hours in one or more of the fields identified above and required the development or adaptation of applications, systems or networks.
OR
A combination of experience and graduate education as described above that equates to one year of experience
