You will serve as an Information Technology (IT) Specialist (PLCYPLN) in the Administration and Operations Support (BUPERS-07S), Information Management Office (IMO) (BUPERS-07) of BUREAU OF NAVAL PERSONNEL.

Duties

You will provide advice to the Director and other management officials on issues and decisions required in directing or managing resources of various IT programs. You will participate or lead in the development of an optimization strategy for current and future IT environments. You will develop plans and procedures for formulating and presenting budget submissions to higher management. You will conduct briefings and represent BUPERS-07 at the executive level at command and Manpower, Personnel, Training and Education (MPTE) strategic business process and informational meetings. You will monitor the performance of IT programs and projects.

• This position is designated as a Cyber IT/Cybersecurity Workforce position. You must obtain and maintain the credentials as described in SECNAV M-5239.2 for specialty area Information Assurance level II within 6 months of appointment.
• This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Perform Analysis to determine opportunities for new and improved business process solutions; 2) Develop detailed plans an directs/conducts comprehensive studies to identify problems and propose solution to improve efficiency; 3) Analyze feedback to determine extent to which technologies and services are meeting business and mission requirements; 4) Analyze information to recommend the development of a new application or modification of existing application, and Internal operational procedures to improve performance; 5) Provide technical guidance for the configuration and collaboration of Customer Relationship Management (CRM) portals in order to meet business unit needs; and 6) Collaborate with stakeholder to identify and/or develop appropriate technology solutions.
