You will serve as a FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT ANALYST in the Financial Improve Audit Readiness of COMMANDER US FLEET FORCES COMMAND.
Duties
You will incorporate financial data input into various briefs or products.
You will initiate corrective actions on audit notifications, findings and recommendations found within financial business segments.
You will apply concepts of financial statement assertions, financial reporting objectives, testing of internal controls and provide key supporting documents in support of audit readiness.
You will develop and maintain strong business relationships with both internal and external customers.
You will analyze and evaluate financial management accounting systems (STARS, SABRS, N-ERP), public laws, governing policies, guidelines, rules, regulations, and precedents.
You will ensure the accuracy of financial data; detect inconsistencies in processing and management reports; and improve internal controls.
Requirements

- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
- This is a Financial Management Level II certified position per the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) 2012, Section 1599d. You must achieve this level within prescribed timelines. Certification requirements are in DoD Instruction 1300.26.
Qualifications
To qualify for the GS-12 position: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
Experience analyzing financial data, identifying anomalies and providing executive level briefings in support of findings.
Experience applying financial analysis principles, concepts and practices to a wide variety of complex issues associated with gathering and analyzing data.
Experience incorporating Financial Improvement and Audit Readiness (FIAR) methodology in ensuring compliance and reporting requirements towards achieving audit readiness.
Experience assisting performing a variety of other fiscal, accounting, or financial management duties and responsibilities.
Experience with current Financial Management systems, Microsoft Office products and Business Intelligent (BI) tools that are used throughout the Department of the Navy.
To qualify for the GS-11 position: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
Experience reviewing financial data, identifying anomalies and expressing findings to supervision.
Experience applying financial analysis principles, concepts and practices in regard to financial data.
Experience incorporating Financial Improvement and Audit Readiness (FIAR) methodology in ensuring compliance and reporting requirements towards achieving audit readiness.
Experience assisting performing a variety of other fiscal, accounting, or financial management duties and responsibilities.
Experience with current Financial Management systems, Microsoft Office products and Business Intelligent (BI) tools that are used throughout the Department of the Navy.
