You will serve as a Financial Management Analyst in the FLT Comptroller, Financial Management Division of COMMANDER US FLEET FORCES COMMAND.
Duties
You will coordinate, plan and conduct studies on various accounting operations, internal controls and monitor general ledger budgetary, proprietary, and statistical account balances a Financial Management Evaluation.
You will conduct root cause analysis to identify procedural or process problems and provide recommendations on corrective actions.
You will review process cycle memorandums, testing plans, and corrective action plans regularly to assess the accuracy and validity of controls and their implementation across various financial business segments.
You will encourage process Improvement in aspects of the Internal Review functions.
You will conduct and lead reviews, compliance testing (CUEC's, control points and substantiative) and assess financial business.
You will manage corrective action plans (CAPs) as determined by testing results.

- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
- This position must meet the Financial Management Certification requirements of the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) 2012, Section 1599d. I am willing to obtain and maintain current Financial Management Certification at Level II.
- Within the Department of Defense (DoD), the appointment of retired military members within 180 days immediately following retirement date to a civilian position is subject to the provisions of 5 United States Code 3326.
Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
Experience in providing technical expertise in reviewing budget administration and financial regulations.
Experience in analyzing financial data to advise managers on Audit deficiencies as well as recommendations for Audit improvement
Experience implementing legal and regulatory control over approved budgets
Experience interpreting budget policies
Experience incorporating Financial Improvement and Audit Readiness (FIAR) methodology in ensuring compliance and reporting requirements towards achieving audit readiness.
Experience applying financial analysis principles, concepts and practices.
