Qualifications

To qualify for the GS-15 level, you must have 1 year of full-time* specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-14 level defined as providing financial guidance in areas such as budget formulation, financial execution and/or fiscal policy interpretation for a national or major grants program; interpreting and summarizing financial data; and identifying problem areas and providing recommendations for improvement.

Skill in performing federal program financial management activities.

Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
