Qualifications

NOTE: You must meet qualification requirements by the closing date of this announcement. To qualify for the GS-15 level, you must have 1 year of full-time* specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-14 level defined as providing financial guidance in areas such as budget formulation, financial execution and/or fiscal policy interpretation for a national or major grants program; interpreting and summarizing financial data; and identifying problem areas and providing recommendations for improvement. Your answers to the online assessment will be used to evaluate your competencies in the following areas: Knowledge of Brownfields program. Skill in budget formulation. Skill in written communication. Skill in performing federal program financial management activities. Skill in oral communication. Knowledge of national policy issues directly impacting organization, planning, human resources, administrative, and management policies and practices. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.
