About the Position: This is a permanent position with Headquarters (HQs), US Army Corps of Engineers, Directorate of Contingency Operations located at the U.S. Government Accountability Office (GAO); 441 G. Street NW, Washington, D.C. 20314.
Duties
Serves as training management specialist for all USACE capabilities related to support to military contingency operations.
Plans and supervises training under the Field Force Engineering (FFE) Program to include deployable and reach-back capabilities.
Manages overall accomplishment of the USACE emergency management post event assessment and remediation programs for USACE support to military contingency operations.
Serves as the HQ USACE point of contact for Defense Training Management System (DTMS).
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Required to remain accessible during duty and non-duty hours, via telephonic communications systems to respond to emergency operation activities.
- Required to perform TDY up to 20%) away from home station, which may include overnight travel, with short notice and for extended periods.
- Travel during natural disasters and military contingencies may be subject to hazards.

Specialized Experience:
One year of specialized experience which includes: 1) Serving as the subject matter expert to establish after action reviews (AAR) for the organization's support to military contingency operations; 2) Conducting deliberate and crisis action planning for emerging military contingency operations; AND 3) Overseeing execution of training for the Organization's capabilities that support the Combatant Commands throughout the Competition Continuum which consists of the strategic contexts of Competition Below Armed Conflict, Crisis, and Armed Conflict and Large-Scale Combat Operations.

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-12).
Education
