You will serve as a Next Generation Dry Dock Shelter (DDSNext) Acquisition Manager for Undersea Special Mission Systems of Program Executive Office, Attack Submarines (PEO SSN).
This position has a control point; thus, the salary range for this position is capped at GS-15, step 05 (currently $185,824). If your current salary is above this amount, your salary may be matched.
Duties
You will manage the cost, schedule, and performance of the Next Generation Dry Dock Shelter (DDSNext) Program of record.
You will manage budget execution and acquisition strategy execution to meet the DDSNext Program milestones.
You will prepare reports and briefs to stakeholders, including Senior Leadership, associated with the DDSNext Program.
You will interface with appropriate stakeholders to identify potential risks and understand issues associated with the design, construction, delivery, sustainment and modernization of DDSNext.
You will take an analytical approach and utilize technical and acquisition knowledge to solve program challenges with optimal solutions.
You will prepare congressional briefing to support the annual budget process.
You will manage a team of engineers, acquisition specialists and contractors to execute the DDSNext Program.
You will develop and execute the DDSNext Program Acquisition Strategy along with all associated supporting documentation.
You will award and manage contracts, to include but not limited to Federal Acquisition Regulation based and non-traditional acquisition contracts.

- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NH-03 pay band (GS-13 grade level equivalency) in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Reviewing program requirements or functions (e.g., contract and acquisition planning, programming, budgeting, and execution, development and execution, schedules, project planning, resource allocation, problem resolution, performance, risk assessments, strategic planning, data analysis, process improvement) to support the design, build, sustainment, and modernization of the Next Generation Dry Deck Shelter (DDSNext) program.
