We offer a team oriented environment comprised of military personnel, civilian employees, contractors and volunteers who keep the organization functioning smoothly and effectively.

Duties

MAJOR DUTIES:  Greets and works directly with customers to set up appointments for automotive service repair and maintenance work.  Demonstrates knowledge of automotive parts, equipment, and routine maintenance to initiate service agreements in compliance with the Bureau of Automotive Repair (BAR) regulations.  Clearly writes service orders.  Secures proper authorization from customers to perform specific service and/or repairs.  Reports problems to the Supervisor

Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:  Must have three years experience demonstrating general knowledge of automotive technology, terminology, and mechanical needs.  Must have the ability to read and interpret automotive reference materials.  Must be able to write work orders clearly.  Must be familiar with PC's.  Must be able to properly identify automotive parts needed and sources for procurement.  Must be able to perform routine work independently and without detailed instructions.  This is a mixed position where the incumbent must be able to lift and carry objects up to 45lbs independently and objects over 45lbs with assistance.
