You will serve as a TRAINING INSTRUCTOR in the Training Command of TRAINING AND EDUCATION COMMAND.

Duties
You will provide formal and informal instruction, review and develop training materials, and other job-related duties as assigned by senior personnel.
You will conduct classroom, laboratory, and simulated instruction for courses in the operational Marine Air Command and Control Squadron (MACCS_ through the se of training systems including Common Aviation Command and Control System (CAC2S), etc.
You will review course materials for effectiveness, technical accuracy, compliance with current directives and mythologies, and recommend changes through the appropriate channels.
You will counsel students on academic matters and recommend disposition of students experiencing academic or personal problems.

- This is a Mission Essential position. You will be required to ensure organization or facility continuity of operations and/or completion of tasks that are considered essential to the mission designated by a local or command decision.
- You will be required to obtain and maintain a current valid United States driver’s license.
- This position is subject to work an uncommon tour, including nights, weekends, and holidays to meet mission requirements. Overtime or night differential pay and/or unusual duty hours may be required.
- You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- May be required to travel, executing Temporary Additional Duty Orders in the performance of the job.
Qualifications
In addition to the Basic Requirements, your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector generating and revising course materials; AND developing, conducting, and evaluating formal and informal training programs related to air support related material; AND applying instructional strategies required to identify and perform each phase of a formal training process.

Education
Undergraduate and Graduate Education: Major study -- education or a subject area related to the position to be filled.
OR
Experience
Experience that demonstrated a practical knowledge of the subject area of the position and of the methods and techniques of instruction. Examples of qualifying specialized experience include:
- Teaching or instructing in an adult education program, secondary school, college, military installation, or industrial establishment in the appropriate field(s).
- Supervising or administering a training program.
- Development or review of training/course materials, aids, devices, etc., and evaluation of training results.
- Work in the occupation or subject-matter field of the position to be filled that required training or instructing others on a regular basis.
SUBSITUTE SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE FOR EDUCATION:
In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:
GS-09:
master's or equivalent graduate degree
or
2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree
or
LL.B. or J.D., if related
