You will serve as a TRAINING ADMINISTRATOR in the Marine Corps Tactics and Operations Group (MCTOG) of OFFICE OF THE COMMANDING GENERAL.

Duties

You will serve as a primary consultant and designer on instructor development in the organization. You will work with instructors to ensure that they complete necessary training and are appropriately qualified to perform their instructional duties. You will monitor courses to provide feedback and evaluation of instructor personnel. You will provide guidance and direction on the design of learning environments required to support the instructor in achievement of learning objectives and/or outcomes. You will review and evaluate instructional materials, lesson plans, and measurement devices to ensure instructor development leads to achievement of student learning. You will document and evaluate training achievements of instructor cadre.

Requirements

  • Must be determined suitable for federal employment.

  • Generally, current federal employees applying for GS jobs must serve at least one year at the next lower grade level. This requirement is called time-in-grade. Time-in-grade requirements must be met by the closing date of this announcement.
  • Within the Department of Defense (DoD), the appointment of retired military members within 180 days immediately following retirement date to a civilian position is subject to the provisions of 5 United States Code 3326.
  • Males born after 12-31-59 must be registered for Selective Service.
  • Per E.O. 14043, selectee(s) must be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 by date of employment except in limited circumstances where an exemption is approved due to a disability or sincerely held religious beliefs.
  • Must obtain and maintain a "Favorably Adjudicated" Access National Agency Check with Inquiries with Secret Security eligibility. Failure to meet this eligibility requirement is grounds for removal.
  • Misuse of Government IT systems is cause for disciplinary action, including removal.
  • Travel required for exercise support, briefing, conferences and training. TAD may be required up to 20% of the time.
  • Must possess a valid State driver's license.
  • You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: providing guidance on the design of learning environments required to support the instructor in achievement of learning objectives and/or outcomes; reviewing instructional materials, lesson plans, and measurement devices to ensure instructor development leads to achievement of student learning AND; documenting and evaluating training achievements of instructor cadre.
