Specialized Experienceis experience that has equipped applicants with the particular knowledge, skills and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the position to be filled. To be creditable, specialized experience must have been equivalent to at least the next lower grade level in the federal service.
Specialized experience for this position includes: Experience coordinating and providing technical advice and guidance on advanced system software and hardware projects. This experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Researching. interpreting, and applying patent laws and policies regarding IT governance and compliance; 2) Leading and supporting Information Technology (IT) work to analyze, coordinate, or conduct the design, development, test & evaluation, integration, or life-cycle management of Information Technology systems and processes; 3) Communicating with and leading sessions with a wide variety of stakeholders including IT professionals, business subject matter experts, product owners, and senior leaders to gather requirements for a variety of business and/or data management needs both orally and in writing; and 4) experience providing system administration and troubleshooting in support of initial triage, incident response and data correction.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
