You will serve as a Digital Technology Coordinator in the Lifting and Handling Department (Code 700) of PSNS and IMF.
Duties
You will use quantitative and qualitative techniques to evaluate and improve the Digital Technology and Information Technology (IT) processes.
You will provide technical, analytical, and problem-solving skills to accomplish the duties and responsibilities associated with the position.
You will independently respond to inquiries from all levels of management within the assigned area of responsibility concerning Digital Technology and IT support and the administration of management policies, employees, and programs.
You will serve as a liaison to advocate for improvements and resolutions to technical software support issues.
You will work to facilitate coordination and provide support to end users within the area of responsibility.
You will provide reference, research and investigative requirements, initiate and complete solutions, and communicate the solutions to the end users and personnel at all levels of the area of responsibility.

- You will be required to wear personal protective equipment such as helmets, gloves, coveralls, glasses, goggles, respirators and safety shoes continuously for the duration of the work shift.
- Work is performed in areas where potentially harmful physical and chemical agents are present (e.g. fumes, dust, heat, ionizing and non-ionizing radiation and chemicals). You will be required to participate in medical surveillance programs.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- This position is subject to work an uncommon tour, including nights, weekends, and holidays to meet mission requirements. Overtime or night differential pay and/or unusual duty hours may be required.
- This is a bargaining unit position.
- The work environment is normally in an office setting, and the work is usually sedentary; however, some walking and bending are required. Some physical exertion may be required, such as lifting/pushing/pulling moderately heavy items.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: analyzing and evaluating digital technology operating processes to recommend improvements and coordinate implementation of changes for an organization.

Education
In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:
Substitution of Education for the GS-11:
Successful completion of a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree
OR
Successful completion of 3 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree
OR
Possession of an LL.M., that is related to this position being filled.
