Duties

Develop, formulate and prepare resource guidance for use in preparing Operations and Maintenance execution plans in support of civilian pay, contracts, awards, temporary duty travel and supply programs. Develop policies and procedures to be implemented by subordinate centers and project managers. Conducts extensive and continuous personal contact with representatives at AMC/DA staff levels to acquire or disseminate information, makes recommendations and/or defends previous recommendations. Briefs top management on the organization’s methods, procedures and efforts applied in managing its programs. Determines appropriate recommendations for unresolved or questionable problems and performs follow-up.

Requirements

  • Must obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
  • This position may require up to 15% temporary duty travel.
  • Achieve Level II Financial Management Certificate within 24 months of the effective date.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 grade level in the Federal Service which includes: apply qualitative and quantitative techniques for analyzing and measuring the effectiveness and efficiency of financial execution; research, review and analyze documents such as: Program and Budget Guidance (PBG), budget estimates, Program Objective Memorandum (POM); prescribe Command objectives for performance, comparisons and evaluations. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12). Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Financial ManagementOral CommunicationPlanning and EvaluatingWritten Communication Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-12).
