You will serve as a GG-13 Information Technology (IT) Specialist performing duties as a System Administrator. You will use knowledge and experience with information technology to conduct research, make correlations, and perform analysis to identify, assess, and document projections of future technical cyber threat scenarios. This position is located within the ACINT Department of FARRAGUT TECHNICAL ANALYSIS CENTER in Suitland, Maryland.
Duties
You will assist other network defense analysts in documenting exploitation of software configurations of information technology (IT) systems and activities which could compromise networked information systems.
You will develop all-source analysis techniques for application to routine analytical and technical intelligence problems.
You will prepare reports, studies, and briefings that demonstrate extensive technical analytical knowledge, advanced research methodologies, analytical techniques, and collection management capabilities.
You will drive collections through evaluative guidance, develop support briefs, and actively engage with field elements that support analytical efforts of the division.
You will provide support, administration, and maintenance necessary to ensure effective and efficient information technology (IT) system performance and security.
You will install, configure, troubleshoot, and maintain server and systems configurations (hardware and software) to ensure their confidentiality, integrity, and availability.
You will administer server-based systems, security devices, distributed applications, network storage, and messaging; and perform systems monitoring.
Requirements

- You must obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance and access to Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI). Failure to do so may result in the withdrawal of an offer or removal. Indicate the level and date of your clearance in your resume.
- Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or pass the test. You will be subject to random testing.

- This position may require a two-year DCIPS trial period requirement.
- This position has been designated as a Cyber IT/CSWF position.

Qualifications
You must demonstrate one year of information technology related experience in the federal service or private or public sector demonstrating the following four competencies, as defined:
1. Attention to Detail - Is thorough when performing work and conscientious about attending to detail.
2. Customer Service - Works with clients and customers (that is, any individuals who use or receive the services or products that your work unit produces, including the general public, individuals who work in the agency, other agencies, or organizations outside the Government) to assess their needs, provide information or assistance, resolve their problems, or satisfy their expectations; knows about available products and services; is committed to providing quality products and services.
3. Oral Communication - Expresses information (for example, ideas or facts) to individuals or groups effectively, taking into account the audience and nature of the information (for example, technical, sensitive, controversial); makes clear and convincing oral presentations; listens to others, attends to nonverbal cues, and responds appropriately.
4. Problem Solving - Identifies problems; determines accuracy and relevance of information; uses sound judgment to generate and evaluate alternatives, and to make recommendations.
In addition to the four competencies above, your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GG/GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
Conduct research, make correlations, and perform trend, pattern, nodal, and link analysis to identify, assess, and document projections and estimates of future technical cyber threat scenarios;
Utilize knowledge of Information Assurance (IA) to provide contribution to and maintain compliance with information technology (IT) policy and procedures;
Utilize knowledge of common computer operating systems, network infrastructures, programming languages, and widely used software to collect, interpret, and integrate all-source intelligence data and produce assessments.
