Provide technical guidance for development of implementation plans for timely and effective transition from existing to proposed systems, practices, and procedures.
Serve as project officer on special assignments related to improving productivity and efficiency.
Gather information on and discuss lean program requirements and make recommendations to management on improving processes that have the greatest potential return on investment.
Develop program goals and objectives both annually and long term (three to five years out).
Supervise and direct staff permanently or temporarily assigned to the organization on career development or special assignments.
Authorize interim deviations from procedures and recommend alternate courses of action to improve efficiency and productivity in operations.

- This position requires DA Black Belt certification within 24 months of hire.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes developing operational policies and guidance regarding strategic documents, programs, processes, and policies; analyzing statistical data to identify program management issues; participating in studies to evaluate program effectiveness; formulating, developing, and implementing processes to evaluate, correct, and improve production operations; and identifying problem areas to provide recommendations for program changes.
