Duties

You will review physical inventory programs at assigned depots. You will perform special studies relating to receipt, issue, storage, and control of stocks; performs documentation research and ensures testing of data processing programs and changes. You will provide input for inclusion in contracts that require government furnished material IGFM). You will perform acquisition functions under the direction of immediate supervisor as Contracting Officer Representative (COR} for selected contracts ensuring the proper utilization of government funds. You will monitor procurement and rebuild schedules to ensure compliance with policy guidance and planning parameters. You will participate in meetings concerning problems relating to inventory. You will evaluate reports to monitor compliance with system requirements and procedures. You will brief managers and officials concerning issues, problems, proposed solutions, and program accomplishments.

  • This position requires a State Criminal History Repository (SCHR) check to be completed on any person selected for this position. You must be willing and able to submit to a SCHR check.
  • This position is subject uncommon tours i.e. nights, weekends, and holidays to meet mission requirements. Overtime to include emergency basis and being recalled back to duty or night differential pay and/or unusual duty hours may be required.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final Secret security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.

Qualifications

Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: ability to execute supply chain management, to include inventory analysis make informed decisions to optimize stock levels and to maximize fill rates in support of customer requests; Ability to effectively communicate with team members, Supervisors and stakeholders, in order to address technical problems and propose viable solutions; Knowledgeable of Logistics Information Technology Systems/Applications, i.e., DPAS, Warehouse Management System (WMS), GCSS-MC, Navy-ERP; skill in using job-relevant information systems and/or software applications, such as Microsoft products (i.e, word, excel spreadsheets, etc.) and automated research tools (i.e., Power BI); ability to recognize and analyze problems, conduct research, measure results/performance metrics, summarize results, and make appropriate recommendations; skill in extracting data from IT systems, analyzing the data and determine required actions to support effective supply chain management efforts; ability to build strong customer relationships by collaborating and facilitating interactions with the Fleet Marines Forces, MARCORLOGCOM customers, MARCORSYSCOM Program Management Offices, Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) and other Military Services. Education

In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:

master's or equivalent graduate degree

or

2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree

or

LL.B. or J.D., if related
