About the Position: This Supervisory IT Cybersecurity Specialist (INFOSEC) position is located at the U.S. Army Operational Test Command, G6 Cybersecurity Division, with a duty location of Fort Cavazos, Texas.
Relocation incentive may be authorized if it is determined to be in the best interests of the Government.(merit)
Duties
Serve as advisor for all operations pertaining to Information Assurance (IA) in the command to include development, planning, oversight, administration, management, implementation, and enforcement.
Ensure command IT systems meet all established requirements, to include DoD Risk Management Framework (RMF).
Responsible for the Cybersecurity analysis, review, staffing, coordination, and integration of capability proposals for all Configuration Control Board (CCB) portfolios environment requests.
Supervise a team of IT Specialists to plan, execute, acquire, implement, and document requirements for resources and services related to Cybersecurity.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Top Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment. A background investigation and credit check are required.
- This position is a Testing Designated Position (TDP) and is subject to applicant testing and random drug testing in accordance with DA guidelines.
- Must obtain and maintain information assurance certification and computing environment certifications per Army and DoD Directive 8140.01.
- This is an Army Acquisition, Logistics and Technology Workforce position. Selectee must meet position requirements for Engineering and Technical Management Certification within 60 months of entrance on duty.
- This position has been designated for a "Mission-Critical Emergency Employee" for Continuity of Government Operations (COOP), meaning that the incumbent may be required to report for CONUS related duty during an emergency at an offsite location.
- A one-year probationary period may be required.
- A one year probation to assess your ability to perform supervisory duties is required unless previously completed.
- This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 25% of the time.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: 1) Applying cybersecurity principles and/or concepts to support the protection of information; and 2) Identifying vulnerabilities to make recommendations for correction; and 3) Advising on cybersecurity policy and/or guidance.
This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (NH-02 or GS-11).
