About the Position: This IT Cybersecurity Specialist (Security) position is located at US Army Operational Test Command, G6 Cybersecurity Division with duty location of Fort Cavazos, TX.

Duties

Serve as the Information Systems Security Manager (ISSM), to the Cybersecurity Division. Acts with organization-wide authority to protect all Information Technology (IT) assets, systems, networks, data and information. Sets Cybersecurity goals and objectives, writes the Systems Security Plans to meet public law, Office of Management and Budget (OMB), Department of Defense (DoD) and Army information security requirements, and evaluates the effectiveness of IT policy and security measures Designated the organization’s functional proponent for the Information Assurance Vulnerabilities Alert (IAVA) system, reports IAVA compliance to Headquarters Department of the Army (HQDA).

Requirements

• Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
• Incumbent must obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance.
• This position is subject to pre-employment and random drug testing.
• Must obtain and maintain Information Assurance (IA) certification and computing environment, certifications per Army policy and DoD directive.
• Incumbent may spend up to 25% of the time in travel or TDY status.
• This position description is designated for a “mission-critical emergency employee” for Continuity of Government Operations (coop); meaning that this
• incumbent will be required to report for Conus related duty during an emergency at an offsite location.
