Navy Wounded Warrior is the Navy's sole organization for coordinating the non-medical care of seriously wounded, ill and injured Sailors and Coast Guardsmen, their families and caregivers. This position is assigned to the NWW Program in Washington, DC. The incumbent serves as a Headquarters Program Analyst (Family Support Coordinator (FSC), with the primary responsibility to identify and resolve problems associated with support for wounded, ill and injured Service members, and their families.

Qualifications

Resumes must include information which demonstrates experience and knowledge, skills, and ability (KSAs) as they relate to this position. Applicants are encouraged to be clear and specific when describing their experience level and KSAs. A qualified candidate must possess the following: At least four years of specialized experience working with ill or injured Service Members or similarly vulnerable populations to ensure they are being provided the full range of resources, support, benefits, and/or treatments and service available from multiple agencies and organizations. A qualified candidate must also possess the following: Knowledge and understanding of requirements and operations of the DoD and Department of Navy (DON) initiatives, implementing congressionally mandated warrior and family support/caregiver requirements. Knowledge of the specific organization's programs and missions, as well as knowledge of pertinent laws, regulations, and policies related to program operations. Knowledge of a range of administrative policies and regulations applicable to the administration of Warrior Care programs. Knowledge of Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA), Privacy Act and the Freedom of Information Act. Skill in the use of qualitative and quantitative methods for the assessment and improvement of program effectiveness and the improvement of complex management processes and systems, which have impact on Navy or NWW goals and objectives. Skill in applying a wide range of methods for assessment and improvement of program effectiveness or management processes and systems. Skill in the implementation and use of various databases specifically designed to track and monitor the wounded, ill and injured population. Ability to make presentations to a variety of audiences, including technical, professional, and administrative specialist at all organization and hierarchical levels. Ability to manage several major projects concurrently, each of which require multiple tasks across many different levels of the Navy (i.e., local commands, regions, and headquarters) and other government agencies. Ability to establish objectives, priorities and realistic milestones and identify multi-organizational and program interrelationships impacted. Ability to gather, view, and analyze all forms of information in detail. Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing. Ability to work in a stressful environment on time sensitive issues.
