Duties
Instruct personnel about all aspects of logistics management to ensure personnel understand the logistics process.
Produce charts using computer systems, from a wide variety of logistic information, to update the readiness and maintenance databases to track data.
Prepare recurring or special reports and compile statistics from data requiring analysis, interpretation and development.
Conduct searches for information pertaining to complex or unusual transactions and patterns and assembles retrieved information into different formats to meet multiple requirements.

- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Must obtain and maintain a Secret clearance.
- This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 25% of the time.

In order to qualify, you must meet the education and/or experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Specialized experience: Have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-07 grade level in the Federal service which includes using logistics automated information systems, compiling, and reviewing a variety of narrative and statistical data to prepare reports or provide information. Perform administrative duties such as working with policies, directives, guidance, and procedures to carry out logistic projects.

Education: Have successfully completed a masters or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.B or J.D. in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to perform the work of the position, such as Logistics Management, Supply Chain Management and Business Administration. (Note: You must attach a copy of your transcripts.)

Combined Experience and Education: Have the specialized experience as described in A, but less than one year; and I have at least one year of graduate education as described in B, but less than the required two years. I have computed the percentage of the requirements that I meet, and the total is at least 100% (To compute the percentage, divide your total months of qualifying experience by 12. Then, divide your semester hours of graduate education beyond the first year (total graduate semester hours minus 18) by 18. Add the two percentages. The total percentage must equal at least 100 percent to qualify.). (Note: You must attach a copy of your transcripts.
Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-07).
