About the Position: This position is in the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS). Employees occupying DCIPS positions are in the Excepted Service and must adhere to U.S. Code, Title 10, as well as Department of Defense Instruction 1400.25. This position is located at the ST-IC-W6A6AA US ARMY INTELLIGENCE AND SECURITY CMD. US Army Intelligence and Security CMD, Security Resiliency Activity, ACOFS, G-2.

Duties

Serves as Information Technology Specialist in the U.S. Army Intelligence and Security Command (INSCOM) G2/Army Security Office (ASO), User Activity Monitoring (UAM) Program Ensures UAM findings for policy compliance, technical sufficiency, and logical reasoning Makes recommendations regarding the selection of cost-effective security controls to mitigate risk, (e.g. protection of information, systems and processes). Advises stakeholders of applicable cyber defense policies, regulations, and compliance documents specifically related to insider threat and cyber defense.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • Two year trial/probationary period may be required.
  • In accordance with Change 3 to AR 600-85, Alcohol and Drug Abuse Prevention and Control Program, individual must successfully pass a urinalysis screening for illegal drug use prior to appointment and periodically thereafter.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance based on a T5 (or equivalent level) investigation with eligibility for sensitive compartmented information (SCI).
  • All INSCOM employees may be subject to extended TDY or worldwide deployments during crisis situations to perform mission essential functions as determined by management.
  • Temporary Duty (TDY) Travel may be required 5% or less of the time.
  • Must be willing to undergo and successfully complete a counterintelligence-scope polygraph examination with No Deception Indicated (NDI) when required and on a period basis thereafter.
  • Must possess or be able to obtain and maintain a current Information Assurance Technology (IAT) Level III certification requirement. (See additional information)
