You will serve as a PROGRAM ASSISTANT in the CITIZEN DEVLOPMENT DEPARTMENT of NSTC GREAT LAKES.
Duties
You will be responsible for the administrative workflow and document processing within Naval Service Training Command Citizen Development (NSTC CD) and between NSTC Admin Office and other department/offices.
You will review all program documentation and correspondence prepared for signature by the Director and District Manager for general completeness, format and grammatical errors.
You will keep the depart fully appraised of new and changing program admin policies and procedures.
You will be responsible for maintaining scheduling and arranging schedules of appointments, meetings, conferences and other commitments for the department.
You will assist in the maintenance of instructor pay records and personal information of officer and enlisted military veterans.
Requirements
- Must be a US Citizen.
- Must be determined suitable for federal employment.

- Generally, current federal employees applying for GS jobs must serve at least one year at the next lower grade level. This requirement is called time-in-grade. Time-in-grade requirements must be met by the closing date of this announcement.

- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-06 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Preparing correspondence, directives, endorsements or forms in support of an organization; 2) Organizing and managing the records and rosters for a department; 3) Planning and coordinating schedules, meetings, and conferences for a department; 4) Reviewing work procedures, instructions, records and files to ensure compliance with regulations.
