Part of the Organization of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, Joint Chiefs of Staff. The incumbent will be responsible for IT supporting Command and Control (C2); Joint / Coalition Interoperability; and Decision / Operational Advantage. Identifies and develops recommendations for changes in doctrine, personnel, facilities, and policy for CJADC2 capabilities in compliance with Federal and Departmental requirements.

As a INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY SPECIALIST (PLCYPLN) at the GS-2210-13 some of your typical work assignments may include:
Identifies and develops recommendations for changes in doctrine, personnel, facilities, and policy for Combined Joint All-Domain Command and Control 2 (CJADC2) capabilities in compliance with Federal and Departmental requirements.
Assesses scope and deliverables of Command and Control (C2) projects from all five CJADC2 Lines of Effort (LOE).
Develops updates for Current Operations Branch Chief and Cross Functional Team (CFT) Chair consideration on key CJADC2 products that account for changes in threat, operational priorities, agile capability development, and the existing acquisition lifecycle, lessons learned, and identification of new and evolving technological innovations.
Assesses C2 decision-making and collaboration capabilities, enabling technologies, communications, transport technologies, and cyber security/hardening capabilities and measures from DoD-wide assessment venues, including Service and joint exercises, experimentation, war games, and laboratory evaluations.
Supports development of long-range plans to meet the CJADC2 goals and objectives requiring additional emphasis

Qualifications
You may qualify at the GS 13 , if you fulfill the following qualifications:
A. One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 grade level in the Federal service as listed below:
Directs the development of recommendations and provides advice involving interpreting or developing important public IT policies, as well as plans, coordinates, and evaluates complex long-range studies and develops recommendations of theories;
Applies principles, policies, concepts, standards, and practices in the areas of Cyber and Combined Joint All-Domain Command and Control (CJADC2), Command, Control, Communications and Computers (C4), Cyber, and/or Coalition Interoperability;
Assesses scope of C2 projects, identifying interdependencies and critical path for time phased deliveries;
Makes recommendations required to change, interpret, or develop C4/Cyber policies or programs; for program planning functions, uses knowledge of current scientific and technological advances in related fields of IT and automation;
Conducts complex analysis and identifies and proposes solutions to C4/Cyber management problems which are often characterized by their breadth, importance, and/or critical nature
