Duties

Work with a team to plan and execute special events from smaller events like yard sales to larger scaled events of 15,000 customers or more. Contact vendors and collect vendor payments, submit contracts needed and ensure those contractors get paid. Complete a 3-year plan for events and keep an event calendar updated. Brief command groups.

Requirements

  • Direct Deposit and Social Security Card is required.
  • Meet qualification/eligibility/background requirements for this position.
  • A one year probationary period may be required.
  • Satisfactorily complete an employment verification (E-Verify) check.
  • Must attend Team Member Orientation within the first thirty (30) days of employment.
  • Must be willing to work days, evenings, weekends and holidays.
  • Requires the use of physical exertion when preparing for and overseeing events. Must be able to lift and carry light to moderately heavy items.
  • Working conditions vary from in office setting to outdoor operations in July, larger events occur on the Fort Novosel Festival Fields.

Qualifications

1. Work experience and/or education related to the duties to be performed. 2. Work requires the use of physical exertion when preparing for and overseeing events. 3. Must be able to lift and carry light to moderately heavy items. Best Qualified Criteria: 1. At least 6 months experience working events to include contracts, vendors, event layout and event follow up. 2.. One year Customer Service experience. **Applicants who meet the minimum qualifications and best qualifying criteria will be referred to the selecting official first.
