About the Position: Serves as Management and Program Analyst for the U.S. Army Human Resources Command (HRC), G-3/5 Readiness Branch.

Duties

Develop collective strategy affecting the command's planning environment. Conduct analysis and planning of various Army programs, participates in policy initiatives and issues to develop Army enlisted and officer programs, guidance, and policies. Provide staff research, analysis, and initiates contact with functional experts to address a broad scope of personnel management issues. Responsible for managing various databases, monitor the annual program budget in excess of $15M, and preparation of the Program Objective Memorandum (POM) which provides input to the Army’s six-year defense spending program. Establish and maintain continual dialogue, interface and coordination with Active and Reserve Component Army agencies. Responsible for planning, coordinating, and integrating future DA personnel requirements, programs, and policies and initiatives. Conduct in-person/virtual sessions with key staff within HQDA to cultivate HRC’s current and future interests. Validate all missions and functions are fully synchronized and integrated within HRC. Provide rapid and rational judgment on critical issues facing the command and provides recommendations that affect the Army. Perform a wide variety of analytical and administrative duties connected with formulation, presentation of numerous briefs related to the Army’s overall readiness posture utilizing enhanced automation tools and systems. Review and assess information and prepare narrative presentations, fact sheets, information papers, graphs, and charts. Remain abreast of major contingency operations and serve as an active participant in the command’s major activities. Exchange information, resolve problems, coordinate activities, and provide guidance regarding procedural and operational requirements.

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • The employee must obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance and access.
  • This position requires that the employee occasionally travel away from the normal duty station up to 25% of the time.
